Welcome to a feature-packed level editor that brings the creative power of Geometry Dash directly to your Scratch environment. This tool is a tribute to the community and the original game by RobTop, built primarily from original code and enriched with assets from collaborative Scratch projects. It's designed for creators who want to design, test, and share their own challenging stages.
This is more than just a player; it's a full creation suite. Seamlessly switch between Editor Mode and Play Mode with the Z and M keys to build and test your levels in real time. The editor is stocked with a vast library of items: essential blocks, platforms, various portals (gravity, size, teleport, mirror, dual), orbs, pads, character forms (cube, ship, ball, UFO, wave, robot, spider, swing copter), and decorative elements like chains and pulsing objects. Advanced features include triggers for color, move, alpha, and instant count, 3D objects, breakable blocks, lasers, and a sophisticated save/load system using codes.
Mastering the controls is key to efficient creation:
Editor Controls: Use keys 1-3 to cycle block menus and 4-5 to scroll through items. Place blocks with a click, erase with 2, and rotate with R (or T for 45-degree increments). Access specialized menus for triggers (F), detection (B), rotation/nudge (E), and settings/debug (I, O, O+P). Pick blocks with Z and manage saves with 9 and 0.
Player Controls: Click to perform all actions (jump, fly, etc.). In Practice Mode, press Z to set checkpoints. For exploration, I and O toggle a 'no-clip' option. At the end of a level, use keys 0-9 to rate it.
Start your project by remixing it to enable saving. To add music, edit the backdrop's sound library. This resource-intensive editor may cause lag; for the best experience, run it on TurboWarp or enable Turbo Mode within Scratch for significant performance gains. The project links to a dedicated studio for posting your finished levels and a separate project for helpful editing tips. Check out the included "Official Levels" (The Beginning, Second Try, The Power of Meme) for inspiration and to see the editor's capabilities in action.
The editor is actively maintained. Major update 2.0 introduced save codes, move/alpha triggers, colored blocks, glow, teleport portals, and new gameplay elements. Subsequent patches (2.0.1-2.0.4) added breakable blocks, lasers, a size trigger, and fixed key mechanics.
